Antibody aggregation.

A large quantity of a monoclonal antibody (mAb) was produced in mouse ascite (unpublished observation). When the ascite containing the mAb was loaded onto an IEC column by a pump, development of white layer of an IEC column resin at the loading side was observed, an indication of aggregation that lead to elution problems.
